Lineage and credit

This tool follows the conventions of Mark Rosenfelder's original SCA² Sound Change Applier. Mundifex is not affiliated with Zompist or Mark Rosenfelder; I am simply a huge fan of the original.

This version is a JavaScript adaptation of Diachronr, a Ruby gem I released in 2017. I originally wrote Diachronr because I needed to apply sound changes in a Rails app to whole lexicons, not one word at a time: thousands of words in a single run.

The browser workspace remains free and local, while the public API supports batches of up to 10,000 entries per request.
