  • Featured Worlds add publishing tools

Creator-facing Featured World hubs now support private MDX knowledge entries, public assets, collaborator editors, project links across lexicons/maps/worlds/source files, public Featured World pages, sitemap inclusion, and Mundifex subdomain routing. Custom domains remain manual-review only.

  • Simple Toponymy Generator added

A new free browser tool builds agglutinative place-name systems from lexicon words. Start from Koeppen, CK3-style, or Holdridge terrain presets, select matching translated words, generate compounds, correct outputs, and save config or generated JSON.

  • Community Worlds roll out

WorldEngine Builder is now a signed-in tool with owner-controlled private, unlisted, and public visibility. Published worlds appear in Community Worlds with renderable map layers and globe previews while owner-only ZIP artifacts remain protected.

  • Creator profile publishing added

Settings now includes community profile controls for private, unlisted, or public visibility, with public creator pages and support links for reporting published profiles or lexicons.

  • Community discovery returns

Community now focuses on intentional public artifacts: browse published lexicons, find public creator profiles, and open read-only share pages without adding forums or comment moderation.

  • Diachron search exports import cleanly

Lexicon Explorer and Studio now accept Diachron JSON exports shaped as filters plus results, including large Old Tothic-style exports.

  • Creator joins Plus with higher saved limits

Free accounts now include three saved 512 x 512 WorldEngine worlds with one active job. Plus keeps one active job and five saved worlds at larger 2048 x 2048 builds, while Creator adds 100 saved lexicons, 25,000 words per lexicon, three active WorldEngine jobs, twenty saved worlds, and 90-day retention.

  • Sound change generators add ordered stacks

Combine vowel shifts, consonant shifts, lenition, fortition, and syllable restructuring as ordered passes, then send the deduplicated program to the Sound Change Applier.

  • Plus adds an Advanced Sound Change Generator

Turn phonotactics profiles into evidence-ranked SCA rules with confidence labels, corpus support, quality warnings, workspace downloads, and direct Sound Change Applier handoff.

  • Lexicons can start from established concept lists

Seed Explorer or Studio with Swadesh 100/215, Leipzig-Jakarta 100, Dolgopolsky 15, or Holman 40/100 prompts, with Concepticon identifiers retained for interoperability.

  • Plus adds generator-ready phonotactics extraction

Analyze lexicon pronunciations into a versioned JSON profile with syllable templates, onsets, codas, clusters, adjacency data, positional frequencies, and extraction assumptions.

  • Lexicons gain a Simple Sound Change Generator

Phonology Extractor and Simple Sound Change Generator are now first-level free tools. Lexicon Explorer and Studio can extract in a modal and forward the inventory through URL parameters.

  • Sound Change Applier joins the free toolkit

Apply SCA²-style rules without logging in, save or load JSON and .sc workspaces, share URL-parameter presets, and use the public GET or POST JSON API.

June 3, 2026

  • Globe Timeline adds browser-local map events

Build up to five globe map frames, scrub them with an event slider, and copy, save, paste, or load self-contained JSON.

  • Globe Viewer joins the free toolkit

Load local map images as temporary globe layers, adjust visibility and opacity, autospin the sphere, and measure distance or area without saving anything.

  • Mineral Formation now has API access

The free geology tool accepts URL parameters and has a JSON endpoint for deterministic worldbuilding workflows.

June 2, 2026

  • Lexicon Studio adds saved editing

Create, import, trim, edit, delete, and optionally share saved lexicons from your account.

  • Public lexicon links are available

Add a custom share-link name when a lexicon should be visible to others, or leave it blank to keep it private.

June 1, 2026

  • Free exploration stays open

Calligraphy, Mineral Formation, and Lexicon Explorer remain usable without requiring login.
