Featured Worlds Help

Featured Worlds are Creator project hubs for public world presentation, private knowledge, article pages, collaborators, assets, and reusable project links.

Best For
  • Publishing a polished setting hub without exposing the full private world bible.
  • Keeping maps, lexicons, WorldEngine builds, source files, and notes connected in one place.
  • Inviting trusted editors to help manage content without giving them publishing or domain controls.
Typical Workflow
  • Sign in with Creator access and create a private Featured World.
  • Attach lexicons, maps, WorldEngine builds, source files, or external resources as project links.
  • Upload assets such as hero images, maps, article images, downloads, or source files.
  • Add private knowledge entries, then mark selected entries, links, or assets public/unlisted when ready.
  • Open Article Page Layout on an entry to assign its slug, choose an article/atlas/codex/timeline layout, and fill page sections.
  • Invite editor collaborators when someone else should help manage content.
  • Use Usage And Backup to monitor rollout limits, export a JSON backup, or restore knowledge and project-link data from a Featured World JSON file.
  • Publish the world and activate its Mundifex subdomain when the public surface is ready.
Accepted Inputs
  • Featured World name, slug, summary, and public surface choices.
  • MDX knowledge entries or Mundifex Featured World knowledge-entry JSON.
  • Article section JSON with key, title, bodyMdx, optional accent, and order fields.
  • Uploaded image, map, download, or source assets up to the current file-size limit.
  • Project links to public lexicons, maps, WorldEngine builds, projects, source files, or external URLs.
Outputs
  • Private owner workspace for knowledge, assets, project links, collaborators, and publishing controls.
  • Public /featured/:slug page for published worlds.
  • Public /featured/:slug/articles/:articleSlug pages for standalone articles.
  • Mundifex subdomain routing after activation.
  • Public sitemap entries for worlds marked public.
  • Per-entry JSON export and full Featured World JSON export for backup and reuse.
Limits And Access
  • Free and Plus accounts can view public Featured Worlds but cannot create one.
  • Creator accounts can create one Featured World.
  • Current rollout limits: 500 knowledge entries, 100 assets, 250 MB total assets, 25 MB per upload, and 10 active collaborators.
  • Editor collaborators can manage content, assets, and project links, but cannot manage publishing, domains, or collaborators.
  • Admins can disable public access during moderation without deleting owner content.
  • Custom domains are manual-review only and are not self-serve Creator features.
Troubleshooting
  • If creation is blocked, check that your account has Creator or manually approved access.
  • If a public page does not show content, confirm the world and each entry, asset, or link is not private.
  • If a collaborator cannot see the hub, confirm the invite email matches their signed-in account email.
  • If a public page disappears, it may have been set private by the owner or disabled by admin moderation.
  • If a subdomain does not resolve, the app still needs the hosting/domain layer configured outside the Featured World record.
