Globe Viewer Help

Globe Viewer lets you inspect map imagery on a browser-rendered 3D globe.

Best For
  • Checking how a rectangular map reads on a sphere.
  • Inspecting generated or hand-made textures.
  • Showing world maps in a more spatial format.
Typical Workflow
  • Open the viewer and load or select map imagery.
  • Rotate and zoom the globe to inspect poles, seams, continents, and oceans.
  • Return to your source map or generation tool to revise textures if needed.
Accepted Inputs
  • Map imagery or generated globe textures.
Outputs
  • Interactive browser globe preview.
Limits And Access
  • Large textures depend on browser and device GPU memory.
  • This is a viewing tool, not a map editor.
Troubleshooting
  • If performance is poor, use a smaller texture.
  • If poles look distorted, revise the source projection or texture before viewing again.
