Globe Viewer Help
Globe Viewer lets you inspect map imagery on a browser-rendered 3D globe.
Best For
- Checking how a rectangular map reads on a sphere.
- Inspecting generated or hand-made textures.
- Showing world maps in a more spatial format.
Typical Workflow
- Open the viewer and load or select map imagery.
- Rotate and zoom the globe to inspect poles, seams, continents, and oceans.
- Return to your source map or generation tool to revise textures if needed.
Accepted Inputs
- Map imagery or generated globe textures.
Outputs
- Interactive browser globe preview.
Limits And Access
- Large textures depend on browser and device GPU memory.
- This is a viewing tool, not a map editor.
Troubleshooting
- If performance is poor, use a smaller texture.
- If poles look distorted, revise the source projection or texture before viewing again.
